Legal

This legal text is an English-language draft. It has not been translated or reviewed by a lawyer; the English version is the only version.

Privacy policy

This draft explains what personal data the Facetion website (facetion.art) handles and why. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is not yet in force.

01Who we are

Facetion is made by Motion Native, a VJ and stage-visual studio ("we", "us"). Motion Native is responsible for the personal data described in this policy.

TODO: add Motion Native's legal entity name, registered address and business registration details.

Contact for privacy and legal requests: help@facetion.art

02Current status of sign-ups

The early-access sign-up form on this site is currently disabled. Right now this site does not collect your email address or any other form data.

03Early-access list

When the early-access form is enabled and you submit it with your consent, we store:

  • your email address;
  • a record of your consent (that you ticked the consent box), the version of the consent wording and the time of submission;
  • the language version of the page you used, so we can write to you in that language.

04What we do not store

The sign-up code does not store your IP address, browser user agent or any other data beyond the list above. Nothing is stored while the form is disabled.

05No confirmation email

Submitting the form does not send you a confirmation email and does not use double opt-in. It does not reserve a purchase or guarantee an invitation.

06Where it is stored and why

The early-access list is stored in Cloudflare Workers KV, a storage service operated by Cloudflare, Inc. on behalf of Motion Native.

We use it only to contact you about Facetion early access. We do not sell it, share it with advertisers or use it for advertising.

Entries are deleted automatically 90 days after submission. Within the store, each entry is keyed by a one-way hash of the email address; the entry itself still contains the address.

You can withdraw your consent and ask us to delete your entry at any time by emailing help@facetion.art from the address you signed up with. We then delete the entry from the store.

07Hosting and technical data

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. When you visit, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser user agent and the requested URL to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

Cloudflare acts as a service provider (data processor) for Motion Native, both for hosting and for the early-access store. Cloudflare runs a global network, so this data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States.

TODO: legal review to confirm the data-processing agreement with Cloudflare and the legal basis for international transfers.

08Cookies and local storage

This site does not set its own cookies and does not use analytics or advertising trackers. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies.

The site stores one value in your browser's local storage (facetion-lang-choice) to remember your language choice. Fonts and images are served from this site, not from third parties.

09Payments

There is no payment processing on this site. We do not collect card or bank details.

10The Facetion app

The Facetion app runs on your own computer. Its AI requests go to the AI provider you configure, under that provider's own terms and privacy policy. This policy covers this website and the early-access list only.

11Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the EU or UK GDPR, or Korea's Personal Information Protection Act), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to object to its use, and to complain to a data protection authority.

To exercise these rights, email help@facetion.art.

TODO: legal review of the applicable laws, legal bases, required disclosures and any data protection officer or representative requirements.

12Changes

We will update this page when the policy changes. Status: draft, not yet in force.
